Job Description:
As a Video Editor for Outreach Strategists, you will play a crucial role in crafting compelling video content for various platforms including social media, websites, and marketing campaigns. You will work closely with our production team to ensure that all video content meets our high standards of quality and aligns with our brands vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit video footage to create engaging and visually appealing content.
- Collaborate with directors, producers, and other team members to understand project goals and requirements.
- Enhance video with music, sound effects, graphics, and other elements.
- Review and revise content based on feedback to ensure final products meet expectations.
- Manage and organize video files and assets efficiently.
- Stay updated with industry trends and software advancements to bring fresh ideas to the table.
- Carry and travel with film equipment for on-location filming.
- Willing to travel outside of Houston or out of state for production work.
- Proven experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar.
- Knowledge of motion graphics and animation (Adobe After Effects or similar) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- A creative mindset with a passion for storytelling.
- Experience with color correction and audio mixing.
- Familiarity with different video formats and compression techniques.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience in operating various types of cameras, including DSLR or mirrorless cameras.
- Knowledge in production work, either as a production assistant or any other role.
- Bachelors degree in Film, Media, Communications, or a related field is preferred, but not required based on experience.
