Summary of Position
The Senior Financial Analyst will support a range of activities in the Corporate FP&A group and be responsible for specific analysis directly supporting corporate decision making. Primary duties will be in the areas of consolidated budgeting and forecasting, tax and accounting processes support, preparation of management reporting and analysis. The position plays a critical role in assuring the timely completion and presentation of quarterly reforecasts, the annual plan, and long-term forecasts. The Senior Financial Analyst reports to the Director of Corporate FP&A and is a full-time exempt position. Regular office hours in our Santa Monica offices will generally be required.
Responsibilities
Manage aspects of a highly complex consolidated planning model
Provide support to effective planning and analysis procedures to ensure accuracy and effectiveness
Partner and liaise with and provide assistance to, as required, accounting, treasury, and tax departments, including support for quarter and year-end close
Provide analytical support and reporting related to balance sheet, capital structure, treasury activity, working capital metrics and bank covenants
Assist in preparing presentations in support of board meetings, monthly/quarterly senior leadership meetings and various strategic committees of the company
Support the financial integrity process in validating internal and external reports to identify data discrepancies
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting;
CPA or public accounting experience is valued, including knowledge of inter-company allocations and consolidation eliminations.
5+ years of experience highly relevant to the role; entertainment industry experience preferred.
Skilled as end-user of OLAP analysis tools (SAP)
Outstanding Excel modeling skills
Proficient in PowerPoint
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be extremely conscientious and detailed-oriented.
