Job Overview:
A prestigious country club is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee and manage financial operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to providing top-notch service in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including income and expense reports, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Manage general ledger entries, reconciliations, and journal postings.
Assist with budget preparation, forecasts, and variance analysis.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closings.
Monitor accounts payable and receivable processes.
Oversee compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with leadership to provide financial insights and strategic recommendations.
Support internal and external audits as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a hospitality, nonprofit, or membership-based organization.
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
