Job duties of the Staff Accountant Role:
Maintain and update accounting records and files with project expenses, ledgers, and other financial documentation.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost savings.
Support the budgeting process.
Collaborate with project managers to track project costs and ensure alignment with budgets.
Process invoices, payments, and ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards.
Participate in internal and external audits.
Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency
Qualifications preferred for the Staff Accountant Role:
Construction experience is a plus!
Great Communication skills
Accounting degree is a plus but not required.
3+ years in an accounting position
