About the Fund Accountant Role:
We're seeking a detail-oriented Fund Accountant to join our client's team. In this role, you'll handle critical financial operations, including calculating distributions, preparing investor reports, managing bank reconciliations, and processing payments. The ideal candidate will bring a strong accounting background, advanced Excel skills, and QuickBooks expertise to this dynamic and growing organization.
Our client specializes in acquiring and managing self-storage facilities and manufactured housing communities, boasting nearly 150 years of combined self-storage experience. As a Fund Accountant, you'll contribute to delivering exceptional value to investors and customers alike.
Responsibilities of the Fund Accountant:
Distributions Management: Calculate and process distributions for five accounts.
Reconciliations: Perform detailed bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
Investor Reporting: Prepare and distribute investor statements and K1s.
System Updates: Enter distributions and maintain records in QuickBooks.
Accounts Payable: Process payments and manage vendor relationships.
Special Projects: Support ad-hoc projects to improve accounting processes and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications for the Fund Accountant Role:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred).
Experience: 2+ years of fund accounting or treasury experience.
Software Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks (required).
Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
