Primary Position Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed financial reviews of manufacturing operations
Develop comprehensive performance dashboards and reporting mechanisms
Identify and quantify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement
Perform in-depth investigation of cost variances between standard and actual costs
Prepare detailed variance reports for management
Develop actionable recommendations to address significant cost discrepancies
Execute thorough inventory valuation and reconciliation processes
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company inventory management policies
Implement and maintain robust inventory tracking systems
Manage complex month-end financial close processes
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and management reports
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive financial reporting
Develop and maintain standard cost models
Conduct continuous cost optimization analyses
Support budgeting and forecasting processes with detailed financial insights
Position Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
1-4 years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing environment
Consumer products industry experience strongly preferred
CMA (Certified Management Accountant) certification is a plus
Technical Skills
Advanced Excel proficiency (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Macros)
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle preferred)
Proficiency in financial modeling and reporting tools
Strong understanding of standard costing methodologies
Analytical Capabilities
Advanced financial analysis skills
Ability to create complex spreadsheets and financial models
Skilled in identifying financial trends and providing strategic recommendations
Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities
Soft Skills
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to present complex financial information to non-financial managers
Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy
