We have an exciting opportunity for a GRAPHICS MANAGER at our North Las Vegas, NV facility.


Responsibilities:

  • Complete management responsibility for the following departments: Art Services, Printing, Cutting, Finishing, and Sewing with emphasis on Printing and Cutting.
    1. Hold print and cutting operators & supervisors accountable for printer/cutter maintenance and cleanliness of machine/workspace.
    2. Work to reduce material waste.
    3. Operators must produce high quality prints (correct color output, material, size, print quality, etc).
    4. Operators must keep jobs on track & hit deadlines for finishing and other departments.
  • Creates maintenance plans and SOP for all printing & cutting equipment.
  • Maintain production schedule & plan work accordingly for each shift.
  • Work in conjunction with Art Services team, Sewing Managers & Production Manager to make sure all jobs stay on track.
  • Daily involvement in Graphics Production Meetings.
  • Analyzes reprint reports & areas for improvement in the department.
  • Understands sales budget, responsible for maintaining profit margins that you have control over and reporting to upper management on status.
  • Maintaining a safe, professional work environment that is 5S.
  • Ensures we retain ISO 14001 Environmental and ISO 9001 Quality certification by working with ISO management team.
  • Scheduling and performing PM for equipment.
  • Maintains proper inventory levels for Printing materials, inks, supplies and equipment.
  • Graphic Inventory Cycle Counts are completed accurately with minimal recounts/errors.

Strategic Planning/Improvements:

  • Creates and/or implements all new Art Services, Printing, Cutting, Finishing and Sewing procedures & policies in the departments.
  • Create efficiencies and production workflows to accommodate a fast paced, growing workload.
  • Identify possible trends or areas for improvement in the Graphic department.
  • Reviews industry trends and recommends new equipment for improvements to current process, creating CapX when needed.
  • Works with team on Continual Improvement, implements Orbus Ideas, Poka-Yoke and Enhancements.

Team Development & Staffing:

  • Responsible for hiring and training of new employees.
  • Responsible for performance reviews, developing employees and offering career advancement opportunities as they are available.
  • Responsible for training team on new products or procedures & communicating any changes to the staff.
  • Responsible for coaching, training and disciplining with documented training forms, verbal and written write ups, suspension and if needed termination with proper communication with HR.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience with large-format printer equipment and a solid knowledge of UV printing processes, heat press & dye-sublimation printing.
  • Solid knowledge with color management & color profiling.
  • Solid knowledge of the following programs; RIP software, Adobe Creative Suite & Microsoft Office.
  • Management experience with a small to medium sized team (5-20 people)
  • Experience working in a production and/or manufacturing environment.
  • College BA degree in Graphic Arts, Print Production or similar.
