Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary

Provide general library support at the Rinker Campus.

Responsibilities
  • Duties include but are not limited to checking in/out library items
  • processing returned items for reshelving
  • shelving items in the library collections
  • Shelf-reading of the library collections
  • picking up items used in-house
  • Providing library support to the Rinker Campus, including assisting patrons with locating library items, using printers, and using study room technology.
  • Additional projects and duties may be assigned as needed.

Required Qualifications

Little to minimal prior experience. Ability to learn support process. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

Desired Qualifications

Customer service experience. Familiarity with using Library and Health Science related resources.

Special Instructions to Applicants

Applicants must have means of transportation or the ability to work at the Rinker Health Sciences Campus in Irvine, CA. Graduate students should check with the Financial Aid Department to see if they qualify for the federal work-study program.
