Description The American Hospital Association (AHA) is a national organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, health care networks, and their patients and communities. The AHA has two main offices, located in Washington, D.C. and Chicago. We are currently seeking a Manager, Marketing for our Chicago office. This position is a hybrid role (three days in the office, two days working remote).
Starting base salary = $100,000 - $125,000 - $150,000 (commensurate with related experience). The AHA is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The Manager, Marketing is responsible for developing marketing strategies, plans and initiatives for assigned professional membership groups (PMG). Manages and coordinates marketing activities that includes defining targeted customer segments and associated messaging. Designs campaigns targeting specific market segments or focusing on specific products or product lines. Develops, implements and leads the execution of marketing campaign strategies that align with the PMG strategic plans. Balances the leadership, strategic, and tactical aspects of the role, which includes selecting and deploying broad omni-channel engagement, including but not limited to print, e-mail, direct mail, digital newsletters, web, mobile, video, and social media. Measure and analyze campaign results to determine return on investment and report on results of each campaign. Supervises the work of assigned marketing team that implement the marketing initiatives.
Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Develops multi-channel integrated marketing plans meant to promote assigned PMGs and its products and services. Analyzes and evaluates appropriate marketing channels to support plans.
Designs campaigns targeting specific market segments or focusing on specific products or product lines.
Collaborates with supervisor and PMG leaders, across the marketing team and with outside vendors (designers, printers, etc.) to develop and implement marketing plans to ensure PMG objectives are met.
Manages staff responsible for executing and implementing specific marketing and tactics that support all assigned PMG products, programs and services.
Responsible for overall marketing project management for assigned projects on schedule. Manages the implementation of targeted marketing campaigns (print, online, email, social media, etc.) with measurable objectives for assigned program areas. Assists in the production of print, online, and other forms of advertisement. Assists with special events or promotions.
Measures and analyzes campaign results to determine return on investment. Monitors, analyzes, benchmarks and reports and membership business intelligence data trends. Refines and tweaks plans and approaches based on findings.
Keeps abreast of best practices, trends, tools and techniques related to marketing. Provides insights into improvement opportunities and participates in AHA-wide collaborative initiatives.
Contributes to the creation of promotional marketing which includes but is not limited to writing marketing copy and distributing promotional collateral for assigned program areas.
Ensures PMG brand standards and guidelines are adhered to, as well as develops, refines and maintains brand standards and message calendars.
Manages project-related marketing expenses, develop budgets, and maintain financial reports. Ensures expenses are kept in line with budget and assists with budget development and forecasts.

Qualifications
Education Bachelors (required)
Experience 6 years: *Supervisory experience preferred, but not required
*Progressively responsible marketing experience with emphasis on education, membership, health care, and/or related products/programs
*Experience developing and implementing strategic marketing plans
*Experience with marketing automation software platforms
*Experience creating engaging marketing materials
