Sr. Specialist, Global Marketing Communications & Events
Working closely with the Marketing Communications Management, primary responsibilities include direct support and implementation of global tradeshows, events, and communication initiatives. As an integral part of the Marketing team, support the development and implementation of key marketing and event strategies. Partner with the Product Marketing, Sales, and Professional Education teams to help drive new customer engagement and expand the MicroVention brand.
What You'll Be Doing
- Responsible for leading the planning and executing of a wide range of events including national and international society tradeshows, symposiums, KOL meetings, and technology suites.
- Publish and manage yearly events schedule for Global, Domestic, Corporate, and MV Programs on WorkFront and required calendars.
- Work with cross-functional teams like PACE and Corporate Communications to ensure all deliverables and due dates are met while maintaining updated information details.
- Manage exhibit vendors and society organizers for the planning and implementation of national and regional trade shows.
- Effective conference planning by fostering cross-functional alignment through establishing regular communication channels, coordinating planning efforts with relevant departments, ensuring all stakeholders are engaged and informed, and analyzing attendee feedback.
- Build and maintain CCN MV intranet pages for meeting information, including pertinent tradeshow details and necessary information.
- Accountable for maintaining and tracking event invoices, submitting payments in a timely and accurate manner, and preparing and submitting project RINGIs. Take ownership of expenses to be aligned with the budget meeting goals, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing and Communications teams to amplify the conference’s social media plan through the creation of captivating event content and strategic advertising opportunities, leading to an increase in social media engagement, as well as the establishment of a strengthened brand image and positioning.
- Manage, maintain, and recommend continuous improvements for all booth properties and convention assets.
- Provide on-site support for all necessary tradeshows and events.
- Act as point of contact from global marketing for international brand representation, share information to regions, ensure cohesiveness, create lasting relationships with international teams, provide training and recourses conduct meetings, and support conferences.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Hospitality, or Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of professional marketing communications or corporate communications experience.
- Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities with attention to detail.
- Ability to work with multiple associates and customers and prioritize projects to meet deadlines.
- Ability to travel (domestic and internationally).
- Strong MS Office proficiency (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
