Our Mid-Atlantic Strategic Growth Team (SGT) is looking for a dynamic Marketing Manager to join the team from our Baltimore, MD office. The following locations will also be considered: Washington, DC; Herndon, VA; Virginia Beach, VA; Philadelphia, PA; Morristown, NJ; Lawrenceville, NJ.
The Marketing Manager is a key player in supporting our firm’s continued growth by providing business development and marketing services excellence. Our ideal candidate will bring experience in the A/E/C industry, as well as leadership of marketing teams. We are looking for someone that is collaborative, can influence and inspire others, and brings a deep understanding of pursuit leadership, client engagement, and proposal best practices. The right candidate will be an empathetic leader who builds community through positivity and can bring home the win!
The Marketing Manager works closely with regional marketing leadership, local business line and regional management to drive successful pursuit, proposal and marketing activities across the region. This position will also provide mentoring, training and proactive problem solving to help guide our team of market-best pursuit and proposal coordinators and managers.
Your Impact
Develop a world-class team of district marketing professionals through mentoring, training, sharing best practices, and challenging individuals to deliver their best work.
Lead and maintain pursuit capture plans, including executing marketing efforts on large, complex pursuits.
Work closely with Technical Champions to drive pre-positioning and pursuit readiness efforts, including partnering with national resources to drive WSP’s sales approach, providing business intelligence on clients, competitors and WSP.
Lead and oversee proposal activities, including leading proposal teams, managing proposal schedules and deadlines, developing proposal outlines, crafting win themes, coaching, and working in partnership with the pursuit champion to monitor the progress of proposals.
Collaborate with technical staff and write/review/edit original content for clarity, compliance and key messages.
Work with graphic design staff to plan and produce materials ensuring all proposal materials are effectively communicating the strategic vision identified for a given pursuit.
Lead pursuit teams during the interview phase, including slide development and organization of rehearsals and coaching.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Required Qualifications
7+ years of extensive experience in pursuit development in the A/E/C industry
Excellent communicator with strong critical thinking, marketing strategy development, group facilitation, and team building skills
Possess a strategic mindset, sound judgment and the ability to develop and manage strategic capture plans
Strong leadership skills to build trust and influence others and work with all levels of management
Experience leading teams and developing professionals while providing targeted and immediate feedback to facilitate their best work
Superior organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
Strong personal initiative and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel and SharePoint), Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat), and other collaboration applications
Bachelor’s degree in English, marketing, communications, business, journalism, or closely related field
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
Post graduate education
Certification or enhanced credentials in applicable areas
Active member of industry associations

Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $86,700 - $154,330
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
