Job Title: Marketing Director
Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid role requires Tues, Weds, & Thurs in-office, at minimum)

Position Overview: As the Marketing Director at Oiselle, you will play a pivotal role in driving business impact. The ideal candidate has experience authoring marketing strategy to drive brand equity and sales growth, and also enjoys rolling up their sleeves to build structure and process for a team to execute against. This position oversees all of marketing, and is accountable for strategy and results for: 2 direct reports, marketing channels (owned, earned, paid), and project management across the department. Strong leadership skills, experience with a primarily Direct business, and a passion for women's sports, are all a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
- Annual Marketing Calendar: Develop Oiselle’s annual marketing calendar with CEO, Senior eCommerce Manager, and Creative Director to meet business, channel, brand, and customer growth needs. Implement calendar as a company-wide resource for strategy and vision.
- Monthly Content Strategy & Positioning: Author and implement monthly content strategy plans to inform marketing channel and creative production tactics, needs, and resourcing. Build calendar with business needs in mind, to drive impact and achieve program, brand, and sales KPI’s. Be accountable for the quality and effectiveness of all in-market assets. Lead communication and workflow to set the team up to deliver.
- Marketing Program Leadership: Grow brand sales, awareness, and loyalty via Oiselle marketing channels. Manage and oversee (2) program managers who manage marketing programs and/or channels. Provide vision, leadership, and mentorship that inspires executional excellence, and create accountability, structure, and focus that improves results and increases bandwidth.
- Business Impact: Be business-minded in all that you do. Prioritize impact and results over activity, and lead with the mindset that less, done better, is more. Collaborate with marketing and creative to optimize content, channel, and process strategies.
- Project Management & Creative Production Process: Own creative project management end-to-end. Be a front-end stopgap to ensure that strategy, impact, and brief/task requirements are met, and downstream create efficiency and accountability through clear and streamlined process. Be personally accountable for team process adherence, adequate scheduling, and 100% on-time delivery, with stakeholder feedback rounds taken into account.
- PR, Partnership, and Other Marketing Channel Management: Own brand-level marketing programs, such as brand partnerships, public relations, media partnerships (newsletters/podcasts), etc. Identify opportunities that suit strategy and the annual/monthly calendars and manage the executional tactics through to go-live. Be accountable for impact and budget management.
- Budget Planning & Accountability: Be accountable for the marketing budget plan and monthly actuals reconciliation. Author process to increase transparency and accountability, and create predictability for our finance team.
- eCommerce Collaboration: Work with Senior eCommerce Manager and team to drive direct sales growth and customer acquisition and retention. Collaborate on sales event and promotions and merchandising. Be responsible for marketing program assets and impact to eCommerce KPI's. Create a 5-star user journey to achieve acquisition, retention, and sales targets.
- 5+ years of experience in marketing and project management at a consumer-facing brand or agency, in the fashion, outdoor, or active lifestyle industry. This is a great opportunity for a strong marketing generalist at a Senior Manager level who is ready to take the next step as an organizational leader.
- Fundamental understanding of marketing strategy, media, and consumer behavior.
- Familiarity with eCommerce and DTC models pertaining to content and marketing levers and impact.
- Organizational style that prioritizes business impact and can always find a way to simplify.
- Management style that naturally empowers a team through clear and actionable direction, finds it second nature to develop SOPs, plans, and documentation to aid a team.
- Proactive workstyle, excellent at managing up and sideways to drive progress.
- Have internal drive for continuous improvement and is always learning.
- Exceptional communication (verbal and written), collaboration, and organizational skills.
- A deep passion for running and an understanding of the running community is a plus.
- Location requirement: This role is hybrid with a minimum of 3 days per week in office in the Seattle area. Relocation will not be included.
