Title: Marketing Specialist
Reports To: Senior Director of Brand & Engagement
JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Marketing Specialist will be responsible for assisting the Brand & Engagement team with the day-to-day activities required to bring key brand moments to life. Responsible for supporting the team with a variety of responsibilities and initiatives, the Marketing Specialist will be exposed to many areas of the Brand & Engagement functions, including but not limited to: social media, community engagement, strategy development and campaign planning and execution.
The ideal candidate isComfortable working independently on smaller projects, while also working broadly across functions to support high visibility Marketing campaigns and content.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Brand Messaging: Develop compelling, consistent, and differentiated brand messaging for our website and across all marketing and communication channels.
- External Communications: Drive all external communication efforts, including drafting our email newsletter), social media content, sms messaging, and other engagement touch points.
- Content Strategy & Creation: Lead the creation and distribution of high-quality content (e.g., newsletter, social media, website copy, thought leadership pieces) that reinforce our brand identity and values.
- Campaign Management: Execute integrated marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, engagement, and ultimately, business results like exhibit and programming ticket sales.
- Social Media Management: Manage our social media presence, driving engagement to grow our following and foster a vibrant online community.
- Brand Measurement: Track and analyze key brand metrics (e.g., brand awareness, sentiment, engagement) to measure the effectiveness of marketing and communication efforts. Coordinate campaign look backs and post-mortem analysis to capture learnings and insights.
- Internal Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to capture and showcase exciting WNDR events, exhibitions, and behind-the-scenes activities. Facilitate day-to-day execution of engagement campaigns; focusing on asset development, submitting briefs, obtaining approvals and managing deadlines.
- Financial Coordination: Support media billing and invoicing, liaising between vendors and the Finance department.
- Experience: 2-4+ years of experience in brand marketing, digital marketing and/or marketing communications, with a proven track record of success in building and managing strong brands.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of storytelling and the ability to translate technical concepts into compelling narratives, as well as conversion copywriting.
- Strong understanding of brand strategy, positioning, and product marketing principles.
- Data driven approach to digital marketing, social media, content marketing, and product launch strategies, understanding the value of marrying both analytical and creative thinking.
- Proven project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills - can work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in marketing and communication tools (e.g., MailChimp, Klaviyo, Braze or other email marketing platforms, social media management platforms; Nice-to-have: tools like Sprout Social or Klear).
- Have a determined, positive, and can-do attitude that matches our team culture
- Bachelor's degree in any relevant field.
- Nice to have: Experience working in high-performance environments, including but not limited to fast-growing startups and/or cultural attractions.
- Nice to have: interest and/or skill in content and asset creation - event photography, design sense, use of tools like Adobe Express or Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Nice to have: Utilize a tool like Monday.com for project management and collaboration.
