MNS Engineers, Inc. (MNS) is a fast growing, profitable, multi-service infrastructure consulting firm offering planning, construction management, engineering, and surveying services throughout California. With nine (9) offices throughout California, the Company has provided services to the transportation, water resources, government services, and federal markets for nearly 60 years.
MNS is hiring a Marketing Intern to join our Business Development and Marketing Department. This position, under supervision, will coordinate numerous administrative tasks in support of the Business Development and Marketing department. This role will report to MNS office located in Thousand Oaks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and execution of industry-specific professional events, seminars, and conferences as directed. Tasks include coordinating the invitation and RSVP lists, coordinating sponsorship ads, marketing materials, registrations (for events, hotels, travel, etc.), setting up displays at tradeshows, and providing on-site support
- Input project opportunities, company and contact information into company database system, assist with data quality and maintenance
- Support email marketing campaigns mailing lists, contact lists, and client profiles using the firm's CRM and other database tools
- Work closely and cooperatively with the business development and marketing professionals responsible for public relations, website updates, publications and newsletters, events and other marketing and communications tools
- Assemble business development materials, including bios, practice descriptions and brochures, pitch books and presentations on capabilities
- Organize business development materials, which may include production and distribution as determined by collaboration with Marketing
- Prepare, edit, and update marketing support materials such as Project Sheets, Resumes, and other documents as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
- California Driver’s License
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must interact well with other staff and existing/potential clients.
- Must be exceptionally well-organized.
- Must have a keen eye for detail.
- Familiarity with MS Office, social media, and email marketing software applications.
- Client Relationship Management (CRM) database desired
Physical tasks
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand, sit, bend, use hands,
reach with hands and arms, and move/transport event branding materials or swag. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up ~ 25 pounds.
