Job Description
The Marketing Manager at the Whitewater Center (Whitewater) manages the communication of the Whitewater brand across a variety of marketing channels. This position will manage the distribution, execution, and analysis of Whitewater’s various marketing campaigns with a specific focus on owned (digital and physical), paid, and earned channels. The Marketing Manager is an on-site, full-time, benefits eligible position.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the marketing team in developing integrated marketing plans for campaigns and activities across multiple consumer touchpoints, including media, digital, social, on-location, and event marketing.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to fulfill marketing collateral and deliverables for onsite and geographic target markets, including print media, brochures, posters, banners, and books.
- Partner with Whitewater teams to tailor marketing plans to meet each team’s specific needs, maximizing campaign impact.
- Represent the marketing team with cross functional teams to ensure development and execution of brand promise.
- Manage the development of campaign briefs, including external and internal research presentations, document creation, and scheduling and coordination of meetings and project milestones.
- Oversee the communication with brand partners and external vendor projects.
- Analyze campaign performance across channels to ensure goals and KPI’s are met.
- Manage all paid advertising placements for the Whitewater brand.
- Identify, develop, and execute earned media opportunities with digital platforms, print publications, tourism entities, social media influencers, and outdoor lifestyle brands.
- Manage Whitewater’s social and community presence on various platforms.
- Direct all aspects of third-party media, photography, and film coverage of Whitewater locations and programming.
- Develop a deep understanding of the outdoor industry and Whitewater experiences to ensure marketing efforts align with the outdoor lifestyle and Whitewater brand.
- Assure trackable and data driven recaps and reports for all marketing efforts.
- Project manage other marketing projects including programming, grassroots and community marketing efforts, product naming, photo/video shoot coordination.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related discipline.
- 5+ years relevant marketing experience.
- Strong project management skills
- Intellectual curiosity and strong critical analysis skills.
- Efficient and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and during Whitewater events as needed.
Physical Demands
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in all weather and environmental conditions.
- Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
- Must be able to bend, stand, lean, and kneel on a regular basis and for sustained periods of time.
- Must be able to safely self-transport over uneven terrain or in a confined space.
- Must be able to work in shared spaces with other employees and customers.
- All positions at Whitewater require employees to report and work onsite at Whitewater locations.
