Position Summary:

KAI Enterprises is seeking a creative and skilled leader to join our growing marketing team. The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership, communication, writing, graphics, design, and administrative skills. In this role, you will serve as the point person for all proposal efforts, leading strategy for key projects, creating sell points and filling gaps for proposals, proposal outlines, delegating proposal creation among marketing staff, and the management and upkeep of proposal materials. You will manage the development of client presentations, including strategy and sell points and organizing and coaching presentation teams. You will be expected to manage multiple projects concurrently. As Marketing Manager, you will work closely with the Director of Marketing, contributing to the day-to-day operations of the department. In addition to developing effective proposal responses, other responsibilities include CRM process management and training, working with Project Managers to establish workflows to gather marketing project information, website strategy and messaging, managing and developing industry award submittals and provide marketing department leadership support. The ideal candidate is organized and creative and able lead exciting new projects with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will thrive in a hybrid work environment and collaborate with team members across different offices.


Essential Functions

  • Proposal Management
  • Lead strategic planning to develop and execute winning strategies for key project proposals.
  • Craft compelling sell points identifying and highlighting unique selling points while addressing proposal gaps.
  • Oversee high-impact proposals leading the management of major proposal efforts from inception to submission.
  • Optimize proposal resources streamlining the organization of proposal materials, information management, and new proposal development.
  • Presentation Management
  • Drive presentation strategy leading the direction for client presentations, emphasizing key selling points.
  • Enhance client engagement developing and managing client presentations that resonate and drive results.
  • Lead presentation teams organizing, preparing, and coaching teams to deliver compelling and persuasive presentations.
  • Awards Submittals
  • Strategically plan awards calendar managing the awards submission calendar and budget to maximize industry recognition.
  • Identify high-value opportunities conduct thorough research to pinpoint award opportunities that elevate kai's profile.
  • Develop winning submissions crafting and submitting industry award entries that showcase kai's excellence and innovation.
  • CRM Management
  • Lead CRM processes companywide overseeing and enhancing companywide CRM processes, ensuring effective communication and data integrity.
  • Streamline marketing operations managing the marketing phase gate process, driving efficiency and alignment across departments.
  • Website Management
  • Strategize website content leading the strategy and messaging for the kai website, ensuring content is current, relevant, and impactful.
  • Marketing Leadership Support
  • Provide critical support to the marketing leadership team, driving initiatives that align with overall business goals.
  • Key support to Marketing and Business Development teams, actively leading proposal weekly Sales team meetings.
  • Project Mobilization Engagement
  • Develop project storylines engaging with project teams at the mobilization stage to craft compelling narratives that resonate with stakeholders and support project goals.

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong proficiency using Adobe InDesign required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong editing and proofreading abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and follow through on assignments.

  • Resourcefulness and a proactive approach to enhancing marketing effectiveness.

Required Experience

  • Equivalent of bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
  • Experience in the production of proposals, marketing materials and graphics required.
  • Experience in the AEC or real estate development industry required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with Adobe InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Illustrator preferred.
  • Knowledge of email marketing tools like Constant Contact and Hootsuite is preferred.
  • Experience with social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram preferred.
  • Knowledge of web traffic monitoring tools like Google Analytics is a plus.
  • Experience with CRM products like Unanet, Deltek, or Cosential is preferred.
