About the role

Simplehuman is seeking an entry-level Retention Marketing Associate to join its Marketing team. The Retention Marketing Associate will develop and execute lifecycle marketing campaigns across marketing channels to help create an optimal user experience for our customers that build habits, increases engagement, and improves retention rates.  This role will also participate in marketing project coordination, calendar updates, and contribute to campaign ideation. 

Copywriting is an important aspect of this position.  A writing portfolio is preferred for the application. A writing sample from school or work is also acceptable.

This is a great role for a new graduate interested to learn about marketing in a consumer products company.  This is an on-site, full-time position in our Torrance, CA office.
 

Responsibilities:

• Create marketing campaigns in channels such as email marketing, SMS marketing, push notifications, and others
• Maintain simplehuman brand voice – ensuring marketing copy leaves a clear and positive impression in all customer interactions
• Follow the marketing content calendar to coordinate and execute campaigns
• Build marketing communication journeys and strategies for upsell, cross-sell, and replenishment
• Collaborate with Creative and E-Commerce teams, as well as external agencies, to monitor campaigns, develop reports, and analyze marketing program effectiveness

About You

• Bachelor’s Degree 
• Strong verbal and written communication; some creative writing, food writing, or journalism experience is strongly preferred
• Demonstrated interest in marketing and e-commerce
• Possess a sense of urgency and initiative
• Excellent organization and project management
