Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Senior Marketing Director for our NJ and CT locations. This pivotal role will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that align with our business objectives and drive growth across the region, whist always reflecting Reconomy’s purpose; to enable the circular economy for our customers. Providing dynamic leadership, a deep understanding of the North American market, strong analytical skills and a proven track record of delivering impactful marketing campaigns, the Sr. Marketing Director, NA will be a key member of regional senior management.
Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy for Reconomy in North America, ensuring alignment with global objectives and local market needs.
· Lead the creation and execution of innovative marketing campaigns that enhance brand awareness, drive customer acquisition, and foster customer loyalty.
· Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and challenges, and adjust strategies accordingly.
· Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, operations, to ensure marketing efforts are integrated and aligned with overall business goals.
· Oversee brand positioning and messaging to ensure consistency and effectiveness across all marketing channels, working with Reconomy’s central Brand Manager.
· Manage and enhance the brand presence of Reconomy and sub-brands through all marketing and communication activities, including digital marketing, direct marketing, public relations and events.
· Ensure brand guidelines are adhered to in all marketing materials and communications.
· Develop and execute digital marketing strategies that drive online traffic, engagement, and conversions.
· Leverage data analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives, making data-driven decisions to optimize performance.
· Manage the company's online presence, including website, social media channels, and email marketing strategies.
· Conduct market research to gather insights on customer needs, preferences, and behaviors.
· Utilize market data to inform product development, pricing strategies, and marketing campaigns.
· Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure Reconomy remains competitive and innovative.
· Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, providing guidance, mentorship and development opportunities.
· Foster a creative and results-driven team culture that encourages colleagues to embody Reconomy’s behaviors – collaborative, inclusive, inventive and real
· Set clear performance expectations and goals for team members, conducting regular performance reviews and providing constructive feedback.
· Manage and review all third-party relationships (eg. PR, web design) to ensure the best results-driven service. Support planning for longer-term marketing capability
· Develop and manage the marketing budget for North America, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve business objectives.
· Monitor and report on the financial performance of marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.
· Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising the quality and impact of marketing efforts.
Requirements:
· Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Preferably with experience of B2B, professional services or sustainability service propositions
· Educated to bachelor’s degree level or equivalent qualification in marketing, business administration or another related field
· Experience in managing stakeholders at a senior and c-suite level
· Strong project management, change management, leadership and communication skills
· Demonstrable Strategic marketing experience, including planning, budgeting, engagement and measurement
· Ability to be agile and continuously innovate, create new ideas and execute them quickly
· Proficient in digital marketing tools and platforms, including SEO, SEM, social media, and email marketing.
· Understanding of sustainability and a passion for circular economy and ESG principles is beneficial
