The Social Media Specialist executes strategies across social media channels to increase Clayton's online presence, brand awareness and generate customer engagement. The Social Media Specialist works with various business units, providing project support and training/guidance. This team member assists the Social Media Strategists with community management, social media content creation and reporting. JOB FUNCTIONS: Respond to comments and customer queries in a timely manner for smaller accounts and/or less complex inquiries Escalate more complex comments and customer inquiries to Social Media Strategist or Supervisor Identify inappropriate content and follow protocols for reporting/removing Support social listening efforts to identify risks and opportunities Impact community growth and engagement across all channels Support social media team in marketing campaigns as directed Provide engaging text, image and video content for social media accounts in line with brand standards and corporate social media practices for designated accounts Work closely with the social team to develop engaging content for social media channels Identify creative, engaging new content opportunities to share with team Develop and execute travel itineraries once per month; travel to various company locations for the purpose of capturing video assets to be used across social channels Work closely with photography and social responsibility teams to identify opportunities to capture philanthropic efforts and customer stories Must be flexible and willing to accommodate short notice travel expectations Submit and manage travel expenses and expense reports Stay up-to-date on social media platforms, trends opportunities, changes to the platforms, and best practices. Other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Digital Marketing or Communications degree preferred 0-3 years of related experience; 1+ years related experience preferred Sprout Social Certification preferred Works well in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable with changing priorities Enhanced verbal and written communication skills Strong understanding of social media platforms, including best practices, navigation and nuances Knowledge of basic marketing principles Ability to multitask and meet deadlines Interpersonal skills with ability to be solutions-oriented Self-starter with strong desire to learn Ability to work within company brand standards and follow company content style guides Must be reliable and adaptive to change Displays innovative and creative expression Stays up to date on social trends Why Clayton?
