Job Description
The Media Director manages and directs the Media team at Intelligent Demand (ID). As the agency’s leading Media strategist, the Media Director is a senior consultant responsible for fostering strong relationships with ID’s enterprise level B2B clients, and their integrated programs and campaigns, through media planning and execution, reporting and analysis, and ongoing optimization. The Director will guide both the strategic vision and tactical execution of media programs, manage a diverse portfolio of B2B clients with substantial budgets, and drive ROI through all media programs.
The Media Director leads client strategy across existing books of business, recognizing and capturing new Media opportunities with current clients, and partnering with business development to identify and win new Media business.

What Your Days Will Look Like:
Client Consulting and Account Growth
- Work with clients and ID teammates to proactively understand client needs and goals surrounding paid, earned, and owned media.
- Grow ID’s Media-related pipeline and revenue, and manage overall Media budget accuracy, financial reconciliations, and invoicing for the department.
- Serve as the leading voice for all media strategy and execution across the agency - presenting media capabilities to a range of both new and developed clients and senior stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with both ID clients and employees and provide a high level of CX to generate trust and high satisfaction in every interaction.
- Support Integrated Account Teams as well as the ID Growth Consulting team in identifying, scoping, and selling new work streams that will help ID’s clients and potential clients continue to grow their revenue.
Strategy and Operations
- Provide senior-level oversight of the Media Specialty Team in regularly generating Media performance metrics as a component of campaign performance reporting. In partnership with the Integrated Account Team, use this reporting to tell the story of program success and identify thoughtful and relevant optimization opportunities that will continuously improve program performance.
- Streamline media operations to enhance campaign execution and delivery ensuring seamless integration of planning, buying, and real-time optimization across all media channels.
Team Leadership
- Lead the Media Specialty Team and enable team members with tools, processes, and training to foster innovation, continuous learning, and consistent application of industry best practices.
- Proactively manage coaching, mentoring, and feedback conversations to develop team members’ capabilities and professional growth.
- Regularly guide the team through project prioritization, provide recommendations to overcome barriers, and ensure deadlines are met.
What You’ll Bring:
- Several years of experience personally leading Media strategy for enterprise level B2B companies. We want to hear your success stories!
- Multiple years of team leadership experience with examples of your ability to grow and develop team members, manage a department-wide budget, and drive organizational effectiveness.
- Demonstrated proficiency with the Media-related channels and tactics used in brand awareness, demand generation, account-based, and engagement marketing, including, but not limited to email, website, paid search, organic search, content marketing, social media, and cost per lead programs.
- Deep understanding of the differences between Media strategies and when to leverage each of them (i.e. demand gen vs AB vs brand awareness).
- Extensive hands-on experience using advertising technologies (ex. AdWords, Retargeting, AB platforms) and reporting/analytics technologies (ex. Google Looker Studio or other BI/reporting tools, SEO tools, etc) in a certified, highly skilled, best-practices-driven way.
- Practical knowledge of basic data strategy and data management functions, including account and persona modeling, list management, data cleansing, data normalization, data segmentation, data enrich/append techniques, etc.
- Examples of expanding current client books of business, identifying new business opportunities, and winning new business.
- Passion for the value that Media strategy has on business objectives and revenue growth goals.
- Previous agency experience is highly preferred.
The starting point for the salary range is $120,000 - 140,000, and we're open to salary conversations based on where a candidate's skills and capabilities land.
