About the Role:
My Place Hotels of America, LLC seeks a results-driven social media specialist to join the marketing team. The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for growing and enhancing My Place Hotels' social media presence for almost 80 locations across 30 states. If you have strong copywriting and communication skills, a passion for storytelling, and a proven ability to develop on-brand content this will be a great fit for you.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies that align with brand goals, hotel-specific promotions, and broader marketing initiatives.
· Create, curate, and schedule engaging content across all social media platforms, showcasing My Place Hotels' marketing programs, property amenities, local attractions, and franchise development efforts. This includes, but is not limited to custom, weekly short-form videos, curated graphics, and original photography.
· Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Franchise Development, and Revenue Management teams to align social media efforts with broader business objectives.
· Monitor and respond to social media interactions in a professional and on-brand manner to foster community engagement.
· Track and analyze key social media metrics to measure success and refine strategies for future campaigns, providing actionable insights to the marketing team.
· Stay up to date on social media trends, tools, and best practices in the hospitality industry to ensure content remains relevant and impactful.
· Assist in maintaining and managing a content calendar that incorporates relevant holidays, events, and promotions.
· Support the Director of Marketing and VP of Marketing in developing and presenting social media strategies and campaign performance reports to internal stakeholders.
· Coordinate with the design team to ensure content aligns with brand standards and goals.
· Develop and maintain relationships with influencers and third-party partners to amplify brand awareness.
· Provide guidance and support to local properties on social media best practices and assist in troubleshooting platform-related issues.
· Manage our myplacehotels.com blog and produce long-form content for both B2B and B2C purposes, telling the My Place story and optimizing this platform for SEO and brand awareness.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in social media strategy and content creation, preferably within the hospitality or related industry.
Strong copywriting and communication skills with the ability to craft compelling, on-brand messaging.
Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok) and social media management tools.
Analytical mindset with the ability to track, report, and act on social media metrics.
Ability to organize and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with influencer marketing and collaboration is a plus.
Basic graphic design skills or familiarity with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) preferred.
Education and/or Experience: Associate degree is preferred.
Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other programs as necessary.
Dependability: Must be reliable, professional, consistent, and dependable.
Travel: Some travel may be required.
Physical Demands: This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.
