Who are we? Dynamic Integrated Services (DIS) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business in the Washington, D.C. area, delivering management consulting services to federal agencies. We specialize in strategic communications and integrated marketing, program management, strategic and modernization planning, change management, organizational effectiveness, and information technology services.

We are seeking a Social Media Manager and Strategist to join our strategic communications and marketing team with expertise in social media strategy, digital content creation, audience engagement, and brand management. The ideal candidate has strong experience in leveraging social media to support client messaging, drive traffic, and enhance online presence.

Essential Duties

  • Develop, execute, and manage social media strategies for government agencies.
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns, including supporting paid advertising campaigns on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Create and manage content calendars for multiple social media platforms, ensuring consistent and engaging posts.
  • Create and curate high quality, engaging content (text, image and video) across platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and Instagram.
  • Consult with clients on social media best practices, brand engagement, and audience growth strategies.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance using analytics tools to guide strategic adjustments such as Google Analytics.
  • Identify and manage relationships with influencers and brand advocates to expand DIS corporate reach and credibility.
  • Manage social media crisis communications and ensure timely, accurate responses to inquiries.
  • Research industry trends and implement new strategies to increase visibility and engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency and align social efforts with broader marketing and communication campaigns.
  • Provide detailed documentation of social media trends, KPIs, and campaign performance.
  • Train and guide other team members on social media best practices and social media policies.
  • Experiment with new formats, features, and platforms to keep our social media presence innovative and engaging.
  • Prepare regular reports for management on social media performance, insights, and recommendations for improvement.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in social media management or digital marketing.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and analytics tools.
  • Excellent writing and copy-editing skills with an emphasis on creating brand-aligned content.
  • Proven ability to execute social media strategies within budget and on time.
  • Creative thinker with experience in both proactive and reactive online reputation management.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience working with federal government agencies or in a government consulting firm.
  • Familiarity with strategic communications in regulated environments.
  • Experience with social media tools such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Cision, or similar.
  • Previous work in the health or public services sector is a plus.
  • Prefer experience working for a federal government contractor, a consulting organization, PR/Marketing Agency, and/or Association.
  • Strong oral communication and presentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Applicants must have the legal right to work in the US for any employer as sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Ability to obtain a US government security clearance.
  • Preference will be given to qualified Veteran candidates.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
