Job Summary
The Social Media Specialist is responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring the company's Social Media strategy in order to increase brand awareness, improve Marketing efforts and increase sales.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Create, manage, and publish original and high-quality content across various social media platforms
- Analyze data and metrics to create weekly and monthly reports on web traffic, user engagement, and ROI
- Manage all company social media accounts to ensure relevant, up-to-date content
- Respond directly to comments and questions on social media posts
- Collaborate with the marketing team to grow the company’s network and target new followers
- Manage a social media content calendar for various channels, planning and scheduling posts in advance
Required Skills/Abilities
- Highly organized
- Self-starter with critical thinking skills and a creative problem solver
- Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics/analytics
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with graphic design, photo editing, and publishing
- Ability to identify target audiences’ preferences and produce tailored content
Education & Experience
- Marketing, Journalism, and/or Communications major, or similar degree and work experience
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram (& related tools), TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, and LinkedIn
- Passion for social media and current in social media best practices and trends; ability to quickly learn new technology
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
- Ability to travel (<20% domestic)
