Job Description
We are seeking a Social Media Coordinator to build FARMACY’s online presence by creating engaging content across digital platforms. In this role, you’ll manage + execute the full content calendar. You’re creative, trendy, and obsessed with all things beauty. You will partner closely with internal teams like Brand Marketing, Influencer, Education & Events, Copy, and Creative, as well as external partners like content creators and influencers. You’ll report to the Senior Social + Content Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- End-to-end content creation. Own Farmacy’s end-to-end process of content ideation, creation, editing, publishing, and user engagement across all social media platforms in partnership with manager.
- Filming. Develop concept, shoot, edit, and star in video content to be used for both organic and paid social media needs. Must be comfortable on camera and garnering excitement from team members to engage with social content.
- Calendar. Manage high-volume social content calendar, creating and editing TikToks, Instagram posts/stories/reels, and other content for relevant social platforms.
- Analyze social performance metrics and distill insights to help grow engagement with new and established audiences; provide weekly reports on these analytics to leadership.
- Stay up-to-date on social trends (e.g. styles, memes, audios, formats, consumer interests, emerging platforms), constantly integrating into our strategy and capitalizing on trends that support our brand message. Conduct competitive analysis on social activations from beauty industry and beyond.
- Events. Support PR, Influencer, and Sales teams to create compelling content around events.
- Creators & Partnerships. Vet and propose new creators, influencers, and brand partnerships.
- Community management support. Drive engagement by responding to comments and leveraging learnings from what our community is engaging with. Leverage these learnings and react quickly with relevant content, social ideas and marketing actions (in partnership with part-time Community Manager).
- Perform other related tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements
- Must live and breathe social media, particularly TikTok and Instagram. Must possess a knowledge of + passion for the digital media industry and its key players and influencers.
- Passion for skincare + beauty industry. Experience in Beauty industry is a plus.
- Shoot, edit, and post social content (still photography + video).
- At least one professional social media experience at a brand or agency (or multiple internships).
- Demonstrated strong creative writing skills.
- Strong eye for graphic design + visual aesthetics.
- Extremely organized + self-disciplined.
- Willing to produce sample content as part of interview process, if selected.
- Able to commute to the NYC office minimum 2 days per week.
- Authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship from employer. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role.
Social media portfolio* submission strongly preferred. *Note that this doesn’t have to be a full website: you can just add post links to your Cover Letter or Resume. Note that non-professional social media experience or academic projects are totally acceptable, e.g. campus organizations or class projects. The more we can see up front, the better!
If you are selected for an interview, you may be asked to participate in a brief mock content creation project, involving creating/proposing up to 2-5 social posts for a fictional product launch.
