About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chair of Media Arts to provide visionary and collaborative leadership in the areas of animation, art and technology, filmmaking, and photography. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic priorities to strengthen the Media Arts program, fostering a climate of collaboration, and ensuring that the curriculum is diverse and inclusive. The Chair will also be tasked with integrating curricular and co-curricular programming to support student success, evaluating and designing curricula, and championing increased equity, diversity, and inclusion among students, faculty, and staff. This role requires a minimum of three years of college-level teaching experience, a terminal degree in a relevant discipline, and a proven commitment to the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion. The ideal candidate will have experience in art-and-design pedagogy, online instruction, and a track record of success in meeting the needs of underrepresented student populations. The Chair will be expected to work closely with faculty and staff, manage the departmental budget, and support the college's enrollment management plan. A background in innovative efforts and change within a creative organization, as well as experience with academic program and curriculum development, is highly valued. The position demands excellent communication skills, the ability to work with a broad range of constituencies, and a strong commitment to the mission and values of the college.
