Position Profile: Media Asset Coordinator
Department: Content and Production
Reports to: Lead Producer
Status: Full-Time, Exempt JOB SUMMARY: The Media Asset Coordinator will play a crucial role in 65 Toss Power Trap Productions' dynamic production workflow, from designing and maintaining the asset-management systems we use to organize and log to overseeing data migration to cloud based archives. You will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of media assets from capture, to logging, to project implementation and long term archival and disaster recovery. This person will work hand in hand with the production team to organize and maintain a vast library that spans over 60 years as a football club. Will work with our marketing team to help delegate footage requests to cover our own organizational needs as well as outside sources such as networks and broadcasters. This role will be involved from the beginning as we stand up a new server system and help maintain and migrate our metadate to new asset management software Iconik.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  1. Serve as DIT for all major shoots, ingesting and organizing all footage shot during Chiefs games, in-studio and on major shoots throughout the year, such as Production Day, NFL Draft, Pro Bowl, and Super Bowl.
  2. Work with entire marketing department to make sure internal and external footage requests are fulfilled in timely manner for stakeholders such as television networks, Chiefs players, league offices, corporate partners and internal requests.
  3. Design and implement organizational strategies and data lifecycle policies.
  4. Maintain and actively monitor production storage usage, staying up to date on future plans for storage infrastructure.
  5. Work with the production team to make sure files end up in appropriate places and asset logging is completed and metadata is accurate for all game footage and other video shoot assets.
  6. Work with our IT Team and outside vendors to implement and maintain disaster relief strategies, and new Asset workflow with Iconik.
  7. Manage migration of data from our old asset management Software CatDV to Iconik.
  8. Actively seek out industry trends and new technology and knowledge or archival theory and best practices.
  9. Knowledge of digital file formats and advanced knowledge of broadcast and digital video and audio formats.
  10. Experience with troubleshooting and working with information technology departments especially on MacOS.
  11. Knowledge and experience working with database design and management a plus
  12. Working with LTO Tape and other tape archival systems a plus
  13. Media transcoding and organization a plus

REQUIREMENTS:
  1. This person must be a detail-oriented individual and interested in organizational systems and confidence when navigating technical issues.
  2. Knowledge of digital file formats and advanced knowledge of broadcast and digital video and audio formats.
  3. Experience with troubleshooting and working with information technology departments especially on MacOS.

  11. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required, as well as all Chiefs games, home and away.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. A minimum of 1-2 years working is an asset management position working in film/television/digital media
  2. Extensive demonstrated knowledge of production equipment and storage systems needed. (Expertise in postproduction, field/studio/location-production, and program development and execution needed).
  3. Knowledge of nonlinear editing systems
  4. Worked with LTFS Archives, cloud archives and LTO Tape
  5. Demonstrated polished communication and learning skills.
  6. Versatility, organization, and dependability a must.
  7. College degree required.
