POSITION SUMMARY The GUNDAM brand is one of BANDAI NAMCO’s most cherished and recognized IPs. The Social Media Manager, GUNDAM will lead the expansion of GUNDAM’s footprint and relevance, improve onboarding, and maintain a healthy and productive relationship with current engaged fans and creators. They will be responsible for driving strategy, positioning, and tone for GUNDAM’s social efforts in the Americas as well as defining and optimizing the social channel and content strategy to achieve sustained double-to-triple-digit growth. This position is responsible for implementing best-in-class social & community programs and promotions, the management of agencies, and social platform partners, close collaboration with our BANDAI NAMCO Community & PR Team, Brand Development, Production, Licensing, Live Events, Legal, Creative Services, and global overseas counterparts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage and develop several North American Gundam social channels and communities to engage and grow fans. Develop and coordinate content for all channels to ensure a consistent voice across all existing and emerging social and community channels. Collaborate with internal teams (i.e. Creative Services), external partners, and vendors to produce quality content that is consistent with the brand’s strategic vision. Compile and continuously update editorial calendars to coordinate alignment with key marketing and product beats. Execute and evaluate the regional community management strategy, which includes engagement methods, moderation policies, content creation, and outreach initiatives; to increase campaign effectiveness and have a continuous growth of fan engagement. Analyze engagement data, identify trends in interactions, and optimize campaigns to build the community online, with emphasis on new fan onboarding. Report on social metrics, communicate their significance, and prepare and filter feedback reports gathered through multiple channels. Develop and execute social media marketing plans for upcoming game and brand activations, and execute them. Participate in and support organizing community-facing activations including digital events, contests, live streams, and live events to build lasting relationships and advocacy amongst our fans. Manage contracts and deliverables for paid activations, agency, and vendors. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This is an individual contributor position and will not be expected to supervise employees. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS 3 years of social, community, or influencer management experience, preferably in video games or growing IPs, with strong examples of projects led from start to finish and demonstrated community growth. Extensive knowledge and familiarity with the GUNDAM brand, the video game industry, social media trends, anime, and Japanese culture. Familiarity with analysis and insight generation gathered by analytics tools and trends such as Sprinklr. In-person event presence and domestic and international travel are required for this position. Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel and PowerPoint. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree with coursework in Business, Marketing, or equivalent work experience in the video game and/or entertainment industry. BONUS POINTS Experience with Japanese licensors and Japanese fluency is strongly preferred. Experience organizing and executing live streams with the ability to be both in front and behind the camera is needed. SALARY EXPECTATION Salary Exp: $82,737 - $110,569. Actual base salary will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, but not limited to, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees and it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
