We are hiring a Marketing & Social Media Associate to support the growth of AceIt, our AI-powered SAT & ACT prep product. This role is for a highly motivated individual who is hands-on with social media growth strategies, from commenting on people’s videos to maintaining a strict posting schedule to ensure engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Develop effective social media campaigns, identifying optimal content and channels to maximize audience engagement.
- Update social media content across all channels daily, including Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Engage with customers and followers, including answering direct messages and responding to comments.
- Find and engage with similar types of profiles, including researching accounts we should be engaging with, finding posts to comment on, and writing and posting engaging comments.
- Brainstorm and research content ideas for our content creators.
- Oversee contract content creators, ensuring they hit deliverables and quality is up to standard.
- Generate your own compelling video content for one or both of our products as needed, ensuring its effectiveness across various social media channels. This includes responsibilities such as scriptwriting, filming, and editing tailored to specific platforms.
- Establish relationships with social media influencers to develop a strong network and potential partnerships.
- Keep an eye on social media trends and incorporate them into strategies.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with other teams, including curriculum and customer support.
- You are comfortable setting clear deadlines for yourself and holding yourself accountable for these deadlines and output quality.
- You are comfortable defining clear, quantifiable goals (e.g., growing video viewership or following by 20% month-over-month) and holding yourself accountable for these goals. You thrive in data-driven environments and iterating on projects based on previous performance.
- You are flexible with supporting additional projects as needed to support the learning experience in AceIt, Juni classes, or additional focus areas as they arise. This includes supporting cross-functional teams like marketing, engineering, instructor hiring and success, and customer support.
Qualifications:
- 1-3+ Years of Experience: Proven track record in a dynamic marketing, agency, tech, freelance, or consulting environment.
- Social Media Growth and Viral Content: Demonstrated history of growing social media accounts and creating viral content.
- A genuine enthusiasm for writing, creativity, marketing, and fostering community connections.
- Hands-on experience in creating engaging video content for social media, including proficiency in scriptwriting, filming, and editing tailored for specific channels, such as Instagram or TikTok.
- A keen interest in working within the education sector.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong ethical and honest approach.
- Excellent written/verbal communication, coupled with a knack for storytelling across various mediums. Attention to detail and project management skills. Expertise in using spreadsheets and other project tracking software (e.g., Notion).
- Self-driven and independent with high standards.
- Analytical mindset to utilize data and metrics for decision making.
- Leadership abilities to guide a team and collaborate across functions.
- Adaptability and embracing innovative approaches and new systems and software.
- Open and flexible mindset, with curiosity to learn about other teams and take on projects traditionally outside of curriculum scope.
Bonus Skills:
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or Canva.
- Analytics and Metrics: Strong understanding of social media analytics and metrics.
