Job Description
Overview:
Hawke Sport Optics is looking for an energetic and dynamic person to coordinate many aspects of our US marketing. A successful candidate will have strong administrative and communication skills and extensive experience with social media. Experience with traditional advertising, influencer marketing, trade shows and point-of-purchase marketing are a plus. Hawke is a worldwide market leading manufacturer of sport optics, including riflescopes, crossbow scopes, binoculars, spotting scopes, range finders and more. This position will work with our team at our headquarters in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Role and Responsibilities
1. Reporting to the VP of Sales and Marketing and working closely with the UK marketing team.
2. Coordination of the company’s social media campaign, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X and more. Participate in the development and execution of our social media plan that maximizes growth and brand awareness.
3. Manage relationships with social media influencers and sponsored TV shows in order to maximize the benefit, content and exposure from these partnerships.
4. Coordinate trade shows, consumer shows and dealer events.
5. Work with the company’s media/communications partner to maximize brand awareness through press coverage and editorial content.
6. Maintain and build relationships with industry partners for co-marketing opportunities.
7. Coordinate in-store point-of-purchase materials for dealers/customers.
8. Manage consumer promotions such as consumer rebates and programs.
9. Assist in the creation of product and brand videos for use on social media and the company’s website
10. Participate in the creation of catalogs, flyers, brochures, sales collateral, website materials (i.e. web banners) and packaging.
11. Assist in the management the US marketing budget, track campaign results and maximize the ROI of marketing expenses.
Requirements:
1. Strong communication skills
2. Significant experience with social media
3. Strong attention to detail
4. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing preferred
5. Excellent proofreading, content editing and grammatical skills
6. Experience in the outdoor industry preferred
7. Knowledge of sport optics preferred
8. Ability to operate in a high-energy, fast-paced environment, often managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
9. Proficient in Windows Office, especially Excel
10. General understanding and ability to do light graphic design work is a plus
11. Some travel is required
12. Rarely, but some weekends and overtime maybe required
