YOUR ROLE
Reporting to the Executive Director, Head of Biddable, your role as Crossmedia's Managing Director, Head of Paid Social Media is to drive innovation by leveraging a deep expertise in paid social media strategies and a comprehensive understanding of how all media channels interact.
You are a dynamic leader with a proven track record in developing and executing comprehensive paid social media strategies that drive business growth both for our clients as well as the agency. An individual who is highly skilled in leading and mentoring teams, fostering an environment of collaboration and continuous improvement.
The Managing Director is dedicated to challenging the status quo, pushing client strategies forward, and driving performance and satisfaction through innovative paid social media solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include Strategic Client Leadership, Cross-Functional Collaboration, Team Leadership and Development and Thought Leadership
- Fostering strong client relationships through consistent communication and trust-building, and delivering innovative, data-driven campaigns that align with client objectives and maximize ROI.
- Lead a team of Paid Social professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to drive performance and career development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Media Planning, Data Analytics, and other buying channels (e.g. SEM, Programmatic, Digital Partnerships) to align Paid Social initiatives with overall business goals.
- Effective leading the team and setting the standard for how to work with internal stakeholders and problem-solve when presented with challenges
- Transparent communication skills to shepherd the paid social team with alignment to the biddable media practice as well as the agency as a whole
- Participation in new business growth opportunities both new to the organization as well as organic growth through solid client leadership in other media divisions
- A clear understanding of scoping media projects including the support needed, the relative cost, and how to address the business needs of a client through paid media solutions in social media
- The ability to look around the corner and anticipate client flex strategy as well as marketplace pivots.
- Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design, and strategy to ensure the company remains at the forefront of industry advancements.
- Exhibits empathetic leadership and career growth for their direct reports and greater team
- Ability to provide poised, clear, and concise problem solving and support for their team
- Adheres to the employee evaluation process, providing timely and constructive feedback to direct reports
- Represents XM as an industry-leading thought leader with internal teams and clients, attending and participating in panels, conferences, and other media events that bring acclaim to the organization
- Sets the standard for the practice through proactive displays of personal dedication and motivation to consistently make things better
- Contributes to our culture; possess a self-start mind-set and capable of decision-making with positive and accountable outcomes.
- Builds esprit de corps through strong team communication Is fully committed to staff training of current team, participates in formal training (e.g., XMU, Mindful Managers Training) and serves as a mentor
REQUIREMENTS
- 15 + years of relevant work experience in paid social media and biddable media. Ideally in a media ad agency setting.
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets and deploying it effectively to deliver against KPIs
- Management experience leading teams across different functions within paid media.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written), presentation, and speaking skills
- Fearless and relentless desire to be the industry leader
- Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative environment
- A highly entrepreneurial spirit
- Eagerness to collaborate with other Crossmedian's and roll up your sleeves to get work done
- Expert listening skills and problem-solving ability
Salary range $200k - $250k. Commensurate with experience. Compensation is determined on the skills, qualifications and tenure of the applicant.
