Applicants are required to submit a portfolio showcasing their previous work in photography. The portfolio should demonstrate the applicant's skills, creativity, and ability to capture compelling visuals. Please include a selection of your best photographs and videos that highlight various styles, techniques, and subject matter. These can be social media posts.

Compensation:
Pay: $15.00/hour
Meal Plan: For students without a meal plan, a Block 50 meal plan is provided. These are meant to be used during photoshoots, and creation of videos in case props are needed. If one is on a meal plan, adjustments may be made to accommodate needs.
Position Overview: The College Store is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Photography Intern to capture the essence of our brand through visually engaging content. You will be responsible for organizing, executing, and editing photoshoots that highlight our merchandise, including apparel and accessories, while driving social media engagement. This internship is ideal for students passionate about photography, fashion, and social media marketing.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Organize and execute two photo shoots a month (1 bi-weekly) featuring student models wearing college store merchandise. Ensure that the shoots are well-planned and efficiently run (this includes but is not limited, making mood boards, selecting items for the shoot, picking up the items for the shoot and setting up, reaching out to models and other parties involved).
- Organize and execute smaller scale weekly photo shoots in the studio in Tyler hall.
- Edit photos with attention to detail, including color correction and retouching of photos, to maintain high-quality content standards.
- Develop and execute innovative promotional campaigns aimed at increasing the college store's visibility and create engaging videos and photos to showcase the college store's products and student engagement, aligning content with a structured social media calendar.
- Have one 30-minute meeting every week with the Marketing and Web Coordinator (supervisor) to track progress, align on content strategies, and ensure consistency across platforms.
- Attend a one 1-hour staff meeting every week.
- Stay current with trends on Instagram and TikTok to generate trending ideas and incorporate popular sounds and formats into social media content.
- Manage and maintain a social media calendar on Notion, along with coworkers and supervisor to schedule and organize content posts, ensuring timely and strategic delivery of promotional materials.
- Expand the network of models volunteering for the college store.
- Be prepared to take on other responsibilities as they arise. Flexibility is key as the internship evolves and new tasks or projects may emerge.
Requirements:
- Strong work ethic, collaborative spirit, creativity and ability to think outside the box.
- Minimum 2.8 GPA.
- Relevant major OR career interest.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, using photography studios in Tyler, content creation, Adobe Photoshop, Notion, industry trends and techniques relevant to fashion photography.
- Have their own computer, camera and phone to use during the duration of internship.
- Professional awareness.
