Job Description
1. Enhancement Instructor - Digital Media at 3 different locations; Boca Raton, Delray & Wellington:
Primary Function: Develop and implement a curriculum that will provide instruction and training in the area of photography, graphic design, digital media and digital art for members of all ages and work at a variety of levels. Conduct a well-rounded digital media program by implementing programs that enable youth to become proficient in software applications for media and apply learning to everyday situations.
2 .Enhancement Instructor - Dance; Delray Beach:
Primary Function: Develop and implement a curriculum that will provide dance instruction and training for members of all ages and work at a variety of levels. Conduct a well-rounded dance program by
implementing programs that enable youth to become proficient in basic disciplines and apply
learning to everyday situations.
3. Enhancement Instructor - Photography at 2 different locations: West Palm Beach & Wellington:
Primary Function: Develop and implement a curriculum that will provide instruction and training in the area of
photography for members of all ages and work at a variety of levels. Conduct a well-rounded
photography program by implementing programs that enable youth to become proficient in basic
disciplines and apply learning to everyday situations and career bound opportunities.
Key Roles (Essential Responsibilities):
- Promote and stimulate interest in photography, graphic design, multi-media production, content creation and encourage participation by all members.
- Requisition needed supplies.
- Plan and follow through on recognition program for youth completing specific programs.
- Provide participant assessments, monitor participation and progress.
- Enforce Boys & Girls Club rules and program guidelines.
- Ensure facilities, equipment and supplies are given proper care and maintenance.
- Participate in staff meetings.
Relationships:
- Internal: Maintain close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer) Club members, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain guidelines/instructions; instruct; and advise/counsel.
- External: Maintain contact and build relationships with community groups, schools' external staff and volunteers, donors and others to recruit or to assist in resolving challenges.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Photography/Graphic Design or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 1 year teaching experience in the field of photography, graphic design, digital media.
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word required).
- Strong organization skills.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
