Music Instructor Job at TWO MORROWS MUSIC in Las Vegas

Overview:

We are looking for a music teacher who has experience working with clients who have neurological impairments, developmental and/or cognitive challenges, and autism spectrum disorder.

Responsibilities:

• Teaching general styles of music.

• Teaching different musical instruments (guitar preferably)

• Incorporating musical instruments and movements in lessons.

• Planning and implementing a program of instruction and lesson plans.

• Building relationships and mentoring students.

• Acquire appropriate teaching materials and resources.

• Create and maintain a network of contacts to ensure work continuity.

• Maintaining and encouraging a fun and positive atmosphere.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to manage student behavior

• Ability to perform non-instructional duties as assigned.

• Ability to work well with verbal and non-verbal clients with a range of disabilities.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Good organizational and time management skills.

Requirements:

• Inclined towards music.

• Experience in special education and Alzheimer's and dementia.

• Demonstrating a passion for music and high patience levels.

• Confident in leading a group of students.

• Experience working with students with exceptional needs or disabilities preferred.

• Willing to work on Saturdays.

• Willing to drive.

Salary - $16/hr
