Job Description
PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION BEFORE SUBMITTING A RESUME AND COVER LETTER
We are searching for teachers who are able to teach. We dont need rock stars. We need personable teachers who can build a rapport quickly both with students and parents. We are looking for mentors; teachers who can guide students and help them grow through their journey as musicians from beginning artists to advanced artists.
We are searching for teachers who want to not only teach but also grow. We are not asking for teachers to be the master of one or a couple instruments but start with a few and learn to grow into several instruments. The growth process for a teacher is very important to us. We are searching for teachers to learn to teach most all instruments at least at the beginner levels.
We are searching for teachers who can move students from beginners through to wherever they wish to head. From a teacher perspective, this does not mean growing as quickly as possible. We want teachers to grow and we want to provide a pathway for students to move through that pathway.
In terms of learning, we believe a student should learn to play and instrument:
We are searching for teachers to be able to teach the basic instruments first: Piano, violin, guitar, ukulele, drumset. These instruments are stepping stones as mentioned in our goals listed before. Our goal is the total growth of the teacher in order to help the student. Please reach out to us if you are interested in being apart of our teaching team.
Please provide any and ALL information regarding instruments you play and teach in either your cover letter or resume.
We are looking to start scheduling our new hire Mondays - Thursdays 3:00 - 6:30pm. More hours are available; but applicants MUST be able to teach between Mon-Thurs 3:00 - 6:30pm

In terms of learning, we believe a student should learn to play and instrument:
- Physically: this means learning to hold the instrument, move their limbs correctly to make notes and to move in time with the instrument.
- Creatively: This is just as important as learning to physically play. Physically being able to noodle around and make sounds that sound good to the student. Reinforcing a positive creative environment is important for students to growth both mentally and musically.
- Theoretically: The job of the teacher is to both teach a student how to play and to allow them to create. The 3rd aspect of teaching is to help student understand what they are playing, creating and hearing in music. Structures in music can vary drastically. Helping students understand the music they are learning, creating and listening to helps to make a fully rounded musician.
- The light bulb effect: We want students to constantly be turned on and continue to have the ah ha moment with music.
