Ladgov Corporation is hiring: Protestant Music Director in San Diego

Job title: Protestant Music Director.
Job Location: Naval Base San Diego, CA.
Schedule: Choir rehearsal 30 Minutes prior to each 11:00 Sunday service.
Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in music or church music; an acceptable equivalent of such a degree would be at least.
• Three years of experience in playing for Protestant worship services.
• Experience to direct choral music.
• Experience playing organ/piano/electric keyboard for a variety of church hymns, and contemporary music as found in the prescribed Protestant worship aide.

Duties:

• Coordinate and provide Protestant Sunday Service music.
• Direct choir practice.
• Submit proposed plan for Sunday services and special music to Protestant Chaplain.
• Once each Sunday (for 52 Sundays) provide musical accompaniment during Sunday services and congregational singing.
• Provide prelude, postlude/recessional, choir or music team selections, and hymns during the regular worship on Sundays and other such services as may be scheduled by the on-site Protestant Chaplain to include up to six (6) special occasion services, (Ash Wednesday /Good Friday/Easter Vigil/Easter Sunrise /Thanksgiving/Christmas Eve /Memorial Services (4 per year))
• Provide and coordinate all programming with the assigned Protestant chaplain, and will schedule music using the church calendar, i.e., Advent, Lent, Easter, Pentecost.V
