Part-Time Music Teacher

Summary
The Music Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and effective music lessons to students, fostering an appreciation for music while developing their knowledge of music. This role involves teaching a variety of musical concepts, techniques, and instruments, as well as inspiring creativity and a love for music.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver music lessons for students of very young ages and skill levels, aligned with the school’s curriculum or standards.
- Incorporate diverse musical styles and genres to engage students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and creativity.
- Stay current with developments in music education and incorporate best practices into teaching.
- Participate in school meetings as required
- Maintain accurate records of students' progress, attendance, and achievements.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff about students’ performance and needs.
- Manage and maintain musical instruments and resources.
- Promote music programs and recruit students for optional or extracurricular music activities.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education
- Previous teaching experience or equivalent professional experience in music.
- Proficiency in one or more musical instruments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Excellent organizational and classroom management skills.
