Job Description
The Photography intern must be available for the entire 2025 Major League Soccer Season, which runs January - December. This internship will allow the individual to gain valuable photography experience with a professional organization for their future in the sports and entertainment industry. The Photography intern will report to the FC Dallas Photographer and assist with the day-to-day objectives of the Marketing Department, as well as any other organizational needs. All candidate hours can be flexible to accommodate with your school or work schedule. Some nights, weekends, and holidays will be required.

Job Description

The Photography intern will report to the FC Dallas Photographer and assist with the day-to-day objectives of the Marketing Department, as well as any other organizational needs. Responsibilities
- Photograph FC Dallas and/or North Texas SC home matches as well as other organization related event such as camps, tournaments, National Soccer Hall of Fame, Frisco Bowl, and more.
- Assist the Marketing department on matchdays to coordinate and implement communications initiatives.
- Operate appropriate photographic equipment to capture events and subjects.
- Utilize photo editing software and applications to edit, crop, and enhance photographs.
- Update and maximize a cloud-based photo database.
- Ensure equipment is in proper working order and complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A passionate, detail-oriented, and hard-working student.
- Able to work independently, take initiative, and maintain a high level of professionalism within a professional sports environment, including media work zones.
- Deadline-driven and can work under pressure while juggling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Required to work a flexible schedule to include some nights, weekends and holidays based on event schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
- Must be an active college student.
- Demonstrated photography and photo editing experience with an online portfolio.
- Proficient in Photoshop and Lightroom.
- Ability to deliver photos in real-time via FTP.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must possess a robust understanding of digital and social media practices, including metadata.
- Proficient in photography techniques, including lighting and camera positioning and operation among others.
