Public Relations Senior Associate (Healthcare) Job at Real Staffing in Washingto

Are you passionate about healthcare and communication? We are looking for a healthcare public relations professional with 2-4 years of experience for a Senior Associate role at a global PR agency. Role is hybrid (3 days/week) in Washington, DC. Responsibilities • Client Services: Day-to-day communications support; coordinate a diverse roster of health industry client accounts and/or sub-projects • Project Management: Manage multiple projects, including task and deadline tracking, for multiple clients from concept to completion • Writing: Write and edit complex health comms materials, media materials, collateral and other client-facing deliverables • Media Relations: Build and maintain press lists; build relationships with health care reporters, editors, producers, bloggers, and other media professionals • Pitch Creation: Assist with media outreach strategies, including creating and executing newsworthy and complex pitches • Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of health care issues subject matter, evolving health policy and political issues that impact clients’ businesses • Social/Digital Work: Demonstrate an understanding and contribute to digital & social media platforms and their influence on strategic goals • Business Development: Help with agency's new business process What You Have • A BA/BS degree in a related field • At least 2-5 years of relevant agency or in-house experience • At least 2 years of experience in health industry communications, more is preferred • Extremely strong writing and communications skills; ability to produce clear, concise communications materials within tight deadlines • Superior research and editing skills • Ability to identify and cultivate key media contacts and outlets for a range of clients • Experience pitching stories to local and national news outlets • Experience with rapid response or 'war room' efforts • Strong strategic thinking and long-term planning skills • Ability to project manage and multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment • Strong client-relations skills – responsive, professional, helpful Benefits • Competitive compensation package. • Great health benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance. • 401(k) with a 50% matching program. • Generous time off benefits. • A collaborative group of smart, passionate and highly motivated people. • Team-oriented work environment structured to provide opportunities for professional growth and development. Salary: $75,000— $90,000 USD
