In this role, you will be a key player in enhancing our website's visibility and performance in search engine results. As an expert in technical SEO, you will collaborate with various web teams, ensuring the successful implementation of best practices aimed at improving site speed, addressing crawl errors, optimizing indexation rates, and enhancing overall organic performance. Your insights and expertise will guide our agency partnerships and support our content management system (CMS) migration efforts.We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Austin, TX for our hybrid working model.Key Responsibilities:Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in technical SEO, advising multiple web teams on best practices for site optimizationOversee the maintenance of our site's information architecture (IA) and robots.txt file, ensuring optimal configuration for search enginesTroubleshoot visibility and indexability issues, providing clear guidance to stakeholders with limited SEO backgroundManage relationships with external agencies responsible for link building, monitoring their effectiveness and ROICollaborate closely with web developers and engineers during CMS migration, conducting user acceptance testing (UAT) on new components and ensuring consistent SEO best practices across all digital assetsConduct regular audits and analysis of site health using tools such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Conductor, and BrightEdgeDevelop and present SEO performance reports to stakeholders, using analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Amplitude, or TableauStay current with SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices, continually seeking opportunities to enhance our digital strategyFoster a culture of curiosity and data-driven decision-making within the team, encouraging innovative approaches to SEO challengesQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field5+ years of experience in SEO, with a strong focus on technical SEO strategies and implementationsProficiency in SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, Conductor, or BrightEdgeExperience with project management software (Jira or Wrike) to track progress and communicate effectively with cross-functional teamsFamiliarity with back-end headless CMS platforms and their SEO implicationsKnowledge of CRO tools and experimentation platforms like Optimizely, Hotjar, or CMAB, with experience collaborating with CRO teamsStrong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable strategiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of simplifying complex SEO concepts for non-expertsA proactive and systematic approach to problem-solving and project managementNice to Have:Certifications in SEO, Google Analytics, or related fieldsExperience in managing multi-channel digital marketing campaignsUnderstanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to SEOTo drive the personal growth and business impact of our employees, we're committed to developing a supportive and enriching culture for everyone. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB's total compensation and benefits package.
