Glass Studio Director – Third Degree Glass Factory Job at Pilchuck Glass Schoo
Pilchuck Glass School, Seattle, WA, United States
Do you want stability coupled with the ability to continue pursuing your passion for glass?
Enjoy being a part of something bigger than yourself and working with a team of artists?
In our 22nd year of operation, TDG seeks an experienced glass artist to manage our studio activities. Primary responsibilities will focus on the hot glass studio management, with oversight of our kiln and flameworking facilities and opportunities for growth.
The right person will be excited to grow the business. There are many facets of this role, which you will be able to prioritize to your liking. Classes, education, visiting artist programs, experiences, events, and production are all important components of Third Degree. The direction of the studio largely depends on your strengths and where you are willing to invest the time and effort.
This is a customizable position that will be filled by the person that best addresses the many and varying needs as we rebuild and rethink our operations.
Access to the studios to produce your work will be readily available and offered at the lowest possible cost to ensure your success as an artist and supplement your income, as this is not currently a full-time role.
Administration and technical needs currently would require no more than 20 hours per week at our current workload. The balance of your time would be perfect for producing your own work in our facility.
Pay starts at $30/hr or an equivalent salaried amount for candidates with minimal relevant experience.
Interested? Feel free to send over your resume, social media handles, website, etc., or go old school and send your portfolio to Gavin@stlglass.com.
