Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented Technical Writer to join our team and play a pivotal role in creating clear, accurate, and engaging technical documentation for our electrical calibration services and solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background with electrical test equipment, or a related field, along with knowledge of quality / calibration standards such as ISO/IEC17025:2017, ISO9001, Z540.1. The core part of this job is translating service manuals or performance verifications into user / customer friendly templates or data sheet that will show all the calibration points needed for our calibration technicians. exceptional math skills, and a passion for translating complex technical concepts into user-friendly documentation.
Requirements:Responsibilities:
- Translating technical documentation to customer's documentation.
- Collaborate with co-workers and outside resources to gather technical information and ensure the accuracy and completeness of documentation.
- Compiling test results for customer documentation.
- Collaborate with field technicians to gather technical information and ensure the accuracy and completeness of documentation.
- Finding deficiencies for current updates.
- Identify safety issues.
- Write, edit, and proofread various technical documents, including service manuals, other OEM documentation.
- Research industry standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and relevance of documentation.
- Conduct reviews and revisions of existing documentation to improve clarity, coherence, and usability.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and quality assurance, to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent training. English, Test Technician, Technical Communication, or a related field, calibration experience for electrical instruments such as multimeters, O’scopes, power supply’s, loads, shunts, or general test equipment.
- Experience as a technical writer in the electrical industry or a similar technical field is a plus.
- Willingness to understand electrical testing principles, methodologies, and equipment.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely.
