Technical Writer Job at MacroSys, LLC in Arlington

MacroSys is seeking a Mid-Level Technical Writer with demonstrated professional/technical writing and editing skills, preferably in a transportation or technology-related field.

Responsibilities:

• Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension.
• Generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions.
• Meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed.
• Analyze information required for the development or update of policies, procedures, and other documentation.
• Create original drafts of new communication products.
• Review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in communications or related field and 3-4 years of relevant experience
• Fluency in technical and common office software
• Keen attention to detail
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to take on new challenges and build on current skills
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Ability to multi-task and be a self-starter
• Ability to check all technical material for consistency and accuracy

Candidates should have a portfolio of articles, speeches and/or other technical writing samples that demonstrate his or her prior professional writing experience.
