The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver with experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain SaaS-based OTT video applications for mobile and TV platforms.


THIS OPENING IS FOR A SENIOR LEVEL (7 - 10 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE) ANDROID DEVELOPER.


Must-Have Experience:

  1. A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  2. Most recent experience must be with a software development company, ideally a SaaS software company, as a Senior Software Developer. Experience in financial companies or other non-software sectors will not be a fit.
  3. Looking for experience working in a true software company with commercial products. Small companies are acceptable if the product was notable, but enterprise-level experience is preferred.
  4. Strong knowledge of Java and Android SDK
  5. Proficiency with Android technology development
  6. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON
  7. Familiarity with video player
  8. Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
  9. Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD tools, like Git and Jenkins
  10. Knowledge of Agile methodologies, like Scrum and Kanban
  11. Good speaking and written communication skills in English


Preferred qualifications:

  1. Previously worked on live/vod video streaming platforms/products
  2. Experience with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
  3. Experience with iOS Objective C or Swift/SwiftUI
  4. Understanding of various multimedia transport protocols such as: RTP, RTMP, SRT, UDP, HLS/DASH etc.
  5. Experienced in cryptography such as SHA/AES/DES/RSA/SSL/TLS etc.
  6. Good Understanding of Digital Rights Management Systems (DRM), including Playready, Widevine & FairPlay


Salary w/8% annual bonus and 8% of stock options after 1 year.
