Position Overview (Summary/Objective):
This position, in either Aurora, CO or Valley Forge, PA, is for a UX Designer looking for new challenging problems. You will be working with our customers and Software/AI teams to design our UIs to meet user needs and improve their overall experience using our tools. Additionally, we have a team of excellent researchers and software developers who are eager to mentor and teach their craft. We have multiple positions available and welcome all experience levels!
Responsibilities:
Our ideal candidate is proficient UX/UI Designer that has previous experience with government mission systems and is passionate about providing a great end user experience for our software. You should possess knowledge of system engineering best practices and apply them to the front end experience.
As a UX Designer, your responsibilities include:
Working with our customers to understand their desires, expectations and pain points
Collaborating with our Software and AI/ML teams to design our UI's to meet customer expectations
Understanding, evaluating, and recommending new technologies that can enhance the experience of a software system
Basic Qualifications: You have an active TS/SCI clearance with a CI poly
B.S. in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design or related field
Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience as a UX Designer or related experience
Proven track record as a UX or UI Designer supporting agile software engineering efforts across the entire lifecycle including design, development, configuration and integration, testing, and delivery to end users
The ability to perform in depth system engineering activities and then translate those into actionable software development concepts and implementations
Effective cross-organizational communicator with the ability to work well on a team in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and engagement with teams
Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to balance technical requirements with business need
Proficiency with modern design & prototyping tools
Ability to communicate and collaborate with leadership to influence product direction
Pay Range: $110,000 - $170,000
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

This position is based out of ARKA's nature abundant Aurora, CO campus. This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to use hands to keyboard, communicate, listen to, and interpret instructions and remain stationary for extended periods of the time.
