Description Responsibilities:
Create effective, user friendly and visually appealing interfaces. Design the overall functionality of the product in order to ensure a great user experience, iterate upon it in accordance with user-testing. Design user interfaces for various projects such as digital displays, publications, media, and other creative materials as required. Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate the designs. Conceive and conduct user research, interviews and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes General Skills: Relevant experience creating GUI designs based on user interaction and performance Experience as a UX designer, interactive designer, UI designer, or similar role, designing for web and mobile applications Proficiency with design and prototyping tools Thorough understanding of the limitations and appropriate use of web development technologies Experience in designing online programs with emphasis in the emotional aspects of human experience Experience conceiving and conducting user research, interviews and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, user journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences Experience designing the overall functionality of the product, and in order to ensure a great user experience, iterate upon it in accordance with user-testing Experience designing and delivering wireframes, user stories, user flows, user journeys, mockups and prototypes optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces Experience facilitating the client?s product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for digital products and optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces Experience identifying design problems and devising elegant solutions Experience making strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features Experience gathering user feedback to configure existing interfaces A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines, managing competing priorities and client relationship management experience Desirable Skills: Knowledge of network security and network protocolsSkillsExperience and Skill Set Requirements
User Experience / Product Design (40%)
- Design experience and expertise in developing and executing strategies that improve overall user interactions with digital, user-centric products and services, resulting in measurable enhancements and positive user feedback
- The ability to lead the design of complex digital services from concept to production and the ability to draw on your expertise to develop and maintain a high bar for user experience standards and performance measures
- Demonstrated experience creating design deliverables such as mood boards, collaboration boards, empathy maps, user flows, wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes
- Demonstrated experience creating deliverables such as design blueprints, information architecture, presentations and reports.
- A solid understanding of generative and evaluative user research methods and how user research can be incorporated continuously in the digital product lifecycle
- Hands-on experience creating user research plans, recruiting participants, facilitating user research, analyzing findings and delivering insights
- Synthesize research findings into insightful and concise user research documents, such as user journey maps, personas, service blueprints, and affinity maps.
- Experience researching and applying industry best practices to support your design deliverables
- The ability to incorporate web analytics, visitor feedback, performance metrics and other data to inform design decisions
- Practice providing rationale for design decisions in group settings with multiple stakeholders
- Experience with Figma, XDstudio is a must
- Experience coding in HTML, CSS and JavaScript is an asset
Communications (20%)
- Ability to communicate designs in clear and understandable manner, present recommendations and provide advice to the stakeholders
- Ability to collaborate with technical experts and business subject matter experts to elicit key information relevant to user experience and service design
- Strong facilitation skills leading design discussions and negotiations
Agile Product Development (20%)
- Experience working in an agile product teams
- Demonstrated willingness to iterate work output based on feedback
- Experience collaborating and sharing design tasks with multiple designers on complex product deliveries
Design Portfolio (20%)
- Candidate to include the link to their portfolio of work
Must Haves:
Experience with Figma, XDstudio is a must
