The Web Developer for the eBusiness Developer Team within the Center for Public Management builds, updates, maintains and modifies web sites for our customers such as Oklahoma Human Services and the Oklahoma State Department of Health. Additionally, this position develops software applications and user interfaces for technology tools. The position confers with teams to resolve conflicts, prioritize needs, develop content criteria, or choose solutions. This developer develops or validates test routines and schedules, ensures test cases mimic external interfaces and addresses all browser and device types. Additionally, this position edits, writes, or designs Website content plus maintains and understands the latest Web applications and programming practices through education, study, and participation in conferences, workshops, and groups. This position backs up files from Web sites to local directories for recovery. Identifies problems uncovered by customer feedback and testing. Corrects or refers problems to appropriate personnel for correction. They evaluate code to ensure it meets industry standards, is valid, is properly structured, and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems. They determine user needs by analyzing technical requirements.
Job Requirements
Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree, AND:
24 months experience as a Web Developer or related field.
Equivalency Substitution: Will accept 48 months related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's Degree for a total of 72 months related experience.
Skills: Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS
Proficient in My SQL.
Ability to work independently and as a team member.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
Knowledge of programming language and technical terminology.
Ability to develop ideas and processes and clearly express them.
High degree of independent judgment.
Ability to solve complex problems.
Ability to use web technologies.
Certifications: None
