The Service Writer will be responsible for coordinating vehicle repairs and maintenance while providing exceptional customer service. If you have a strong background in automotive services, excellent communication skills, are a strong salesman (able to relate information to customers without them feeling pressured), and a passion for delivering top-notch service, we want to hear from you!
TASKS
- Provide sales, customer service, and service-related support via phone, chat system, social media, and in person.
- Provide excellent customer service by listening to inquiries, requests, and wants to determine exactly what services the customer needs to provide the utmost satisfaction.
- Ask specific technical questions to determine the cause of problems to help technicians diagnose their vehicles.
- Explain to customers what kinds of service or repairs their vehicle needs, create estimates, and obtain customer approval.
- Work with technicians to order parts via multiple systems that we have in place.
- Track repair status and fill out reports detailing the time spent on repairs and expenses for parts and invoices.
- Communicate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Inform customers immediately with additional parts, repair, or work order modifications.
- Manage vehicle schedules and workloads with shop owner.
- Coordinate vehicle drop-off and pick-up with customers.
- Update customers on the status of their vehicles throughout the repair process.
