Our New York office is recruiting for a Senior Architectural Specification Writer to support our Materials-Technology team for all our office locations. The Senior Architectural Specification Writer will work with multiple project teams from project initiation to final delivery, ensuring the project includes the most the appropriate materials and provides specifications that are precisely coordinated with Project design intent.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret the Architectural Drawings and Schedules.
- Prepare written Architectural Project Specifications/Project Manuals for Bidding and Construction
- Prepare Construction and Procurement and Contracting Requirements when requested.
- Provide material/product technical and Construction Documentation support to firm.
- Provide review of Submittals when substitutions have been submitted and when PA finds specific significant issues.
- Participate in Office initiatives
- Create initiatives for furthering goals of Materials – Technology Group as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Architecture
- 10+ years’ experience in architectural design development, construction documentation and detailing on a wide variety of project types
- Construction Specifications CCS certification
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Office
- Extensive experience in the New York Tri-state area and California
Preferred Qualifications:
- Registered Architect
- LEED AP and familiarity with LEED requirements
- Experience working with Sustainability language for specifications
- Experience working with Sustainability consultants to ensure inclusion of sustainable products.
- Ability to multi-task various projects efficiently and work well under deadlines

The expected salary range for this position is $95,000-$110,000. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider relevant experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
