Job Description for the Bookkeeper:
Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the organization's mission through effective financial management.
Key Responsibilities for the Bookkeeper:
Record daily financial transactions and maintain the general ledger.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
Reconcile bank statements and assist with month-end closing processes.
Prepare financial reports for management and grant reporting.
Monitor budgetary compliance and provide insights on financial performance.
Support the preparation of annual audits and collaborate with external auditors.
Assist with payroll processing and related documentation.
Qualifications for the Bookkeeper:
Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
2+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a non-profit environment.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
