Internal Communications Specialist, Consultant

Your Role The IT Communications team develops and delivers compelling and informative communications that engage, inform and inspire employees to achieve the companys goal of transforming healthcare. We amplify IT's value as a trusted partner and reinforce the importance of technology as a driver to change the industry. The Internal Communications Specialist, Consultant reports to the Senior Manager, IT Communications. In this role you will be part of a high-performing team who partners with our clients to promote IT Strategic and Run initiatives that educate and enable conversations improving the ways we work. Your Work In this role, you will: Be a communications lead for key IT initiatives, divisions and/or teams Partner with executive leadership and key stakeholders to design and implement strategic communications plans in support of Blue Shield of California priorities with the goal of establishing, advancing and maintaining a favorable corporate reputation with targeted audiences including employees, business leaders, contractors, third party partners, and vendors Consult, advise, write, edit, disseminate, and coordinate messages on ITs operating model, products, platforms and services including talking points, frequently asked questions (FAQs), internal blog posts and websites, presentations, videos, and other materials Produce communications for IT product launches, enhancements, deployments, office and hybrid work experiences Partner with key stakeholders on their change management plan to increase awareness, desire, knowledge, ability and reinforcement of IT and Blue Shield of California initiatives Partner with leaders to develop stakeholder analysis, surveys and focus groups for targeted audiences Develop, promote and facilitate employee activities including virtual, hybrid and in-person meetings, forums, charitable giving and volunteer events Partner with Corporate Communications teams to promote Blue Shield of Californias messages and strategy Provide support for IT new hires, Office of Leaders, and Interns

Your Knowledge and Experience Requires a college degree or equivalent experience and minimum 7 years of prior relevant experience Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Extensive experience in communications, public relations or related business field Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills Change management implementation experience or Prosci certification desired Must be a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and timelines Experience communicating IT technical information is a plus

Pay Range: The pay range for this role is: $ 109120.00 to $ 163680.00 for California. Note: Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles. #LI-CM1
